Editorial Standards

1. Clear, specific instructions

Every activity states the age range it is aimed at, the materials, the steps, an estimated prep and play time and a mess level. Timings are estimates and are labelled as such.

2. Written in-house

Activities are written and edited by the WonderCraft Kids editorial team. We do not claim professional testing, accreditation or endorsement that we do not have.

3. Honest about products

We tell you when an activity needs nothing bought. Where we recommend a product we say what makes it good and, where relevant, what cheaper thing does the same job. Our own kits are always labelled as ours and never presented as an independent recommendation.

4. Product links

Product links are clearly identified where required.

5. Safety notes on every page

Every activity carries supervision and safety notes, and adult supervision is assumed throughout. Where guidance differs between the US, UK, Canada and Australia we point you at your local authority rather than averaging it out.

6. Kept up to date

Every activity shows a last-updated date, and product links carry a last-checked date in our records. We update pages when a reader reports a problem.

7. Corrections

Email us through the contact page with the page title and the issue. Factual errors are corrected within two working days, and substantive corrections are noted on the page.

8. Not professional advice

Our developmental notes describe typical play benefits. They are not a diagnosis or a therapy plan. Speak to your health visitor, paediatrician or GP about any developmental concern.
