Ramadan Kids Activity Box
A month-long box of simple daily crafts and activities that gives children something quiet and creative to do each evening.
By WonderCraft Kids Editorial Team, Editorial team · Updated 11 September 2026
This is a practical, factual activity box rather than a religious teaching tool: one small craft or activity per day, stored in labelled envelopes or bags inside a single box. It suits families wanting a low-pressure daily rhythm through the month, with each activity taking well under half an hour so it fits around evening routines. Setup is a single afternoon of sorting supplies into envelopes.
What you need
- A shoebox or storage box
- 30 small envelopes or paper bags
- Assorted craft basics: paper, card, stickers, string, beads
- Scissors and glue
- A marker for labelling each envelope 1-30
- A calendar or star chart to track completed days
Step by step
- 1
Plan out roughly 30 small, varied activities: a paper lantern, a bead bracelet, a drawing prompt, a simple origami shape, and so on.
- 2
Sort enough materials for each activity into its own labelled envelope, numbered by day.
- 3
Store all the envelopes upright in the box, in order.
- 4
Each evening, let your child pick or open that day's numbered envelope.
- 5
Complete the small craft together, or let them work independently once they know the routine.
- 6
Mark the day off on the calendar and display or keep the finished piece.
What kids learn
Building a routine
A daily small task at the same time each evening gives children a chance to practise a predictable, calming rhythm.
Independent working
Once the pattern is familiar, children can often prepare and start their envelope activity with less adult direction.
Sense of progress
Marking off days on a calendar can help children practise tracking progress toward a longer goal.
Make it easier
Reduce the box to two activities a week rather than every day, which still gives a sense of occasion without the daily prep load.
Make it more challenging
Ask an older child to help plan and pack the envelopes themselves, choosing and sourcing a few of the activities.
Safety and supervision
- Adults should do all cutting when preparing envelopes and supervise scissor use for under-fives.
- Keep small items like beads and stickers away from children who still mouth objects.
- Store the box somewhere a younger sibling cannot open envelopes out of order and lose pieces.
Adult supervision is required for every activity on this site. Read our full child safety guidelines.
